In order to obtain a VA home loan, you will need a VA Certificate of Eligibility.

There are several ways to get the VA COE.  First of all, once the loan application is complete, we will see if your Certificate of Eligibility is available online.  We can often receive this answer within a few minutes.  If it is not available online, we will need for you to complete and sign Form 26-1880 for VA Loans.  Next, we will submit the form and any supporting documentation directly to VA on your behalf.  The response from VA may take a few days to possibly a couple of weeks.  This timeframe depends on VA’s current turnaround.  Keep in mind that even if we don’t have your certificate of eligibility yet, we can still work on your file.  Our goal is always to provide a pre-approval as quickly as possible.  Finally, to speed up the process, we encourage providing all requested documentation up-front.
