NC USDA Status Hotline

USDA loans are unlike other types of loans.  Normally lenders underwrite a file without review from an agency.  USDA requires an extra step after the lender underwriting process.  Next comes the USDA eligibility review and commitment.  Over the years, we have seen the review and commitment process vary from a day to over 30 days for USDA to review NC files.

How to Check USDA Status

First of all, anyone can call USDA for a status.  For the NC USDA Status or current turn times at NC Rural Home Development, please call 919-873-2060 for the daily recording.  Once the USDA submission date is known, anyone can call USDA’s recorded hotline 919-873-2060.   Then, you will know approximately how long the commitment should take.

USDA does not grant exceptions or rushes.  So there is no need to ask!

Trust me, we have tried.

Once our team has underwritten and approved a USDA loan file, our team will provide an update.  We provide all parties involved an email stating when we sent the file to USDA for review.  Once this date is known, you are welcome to call the NC USDA Status Hotline every day if you like.  Finally, an “approximate” final approval date can be figured.
